My Childhood Memories
The memories of childhood always remain fresh in the minds of people. Childhood memories go into oblivion. Because childhood does not appear to us only with joyous events and appears with some sorrowful events to us. Man has a tendency to turn back to the past memories from the present. There is a saying that the lost days were better days. My childhood has like a passion. Whenever I am sick of the present, I try to get relief in the past days of my childhood was born in the village Majhina under Narayanganj district. The river Sitalakshaya Nowe third the district and just at the east side of our village. In all the seasons, this river was a sounds pleasure for me and my friends. We played together on the bank of this river, we used to row on the river. Jump into it and swim in it.
The village maktab was another interesting place in my childhood. An old erudite Moulvi who loved me affectionately used to teach us there. A large number of boys and girls used to attend the maktab every morning. We would learn lessons in a dealening noise. Many interesting incidents would happen when we attended the maktab.
When the school bell rang for break, we used to run in groups and wandered over the green land before returning home. We stole fruits from trees that belonged to others. Sometimes we would forget to eat our midday meals. There was a bush near our school. We always searched for birds there and if found, we would steal them.
During holidays when my mother went to sleep at noon, we went to the railway line. There I together with other children gathered pebbles. We watched with wonder how the train passed. However, my mind is filled with joy when I recollect my sweet memories of childhood. But my mind becomes obsessed with grief when I recollect that bad event, when my dearest Moulvi of the village maktab passed away.
I can never forget my childhood. It was the best period in my life. Life was totally carefree then, When I sit idle alone after the tiring day's work, my childhood memories make me nostalgie. That was really a joyous period in my life.

I was the youngest son of my parents. So, all the members of family loved me very much. They gave me everything they could. They took a great care of me. They bought for me nice toys. My grandmother was very fond of me. She told me many beautiful stories. I went to the village market with my father. I passed a happy time there. My father bought me sweetmeats. But those happy days are now gone.
I was five years old. Then my birthday ceremony was held. I was very happy on that day. Many relatives came to our house. They took me to their laps and kissed me. They called me 'Moni. They brought me many nice things and toys.
I grew six years old. A Moulavi Shaheb taught me Arabia at home. Then I went to a primary school with my father. My teachers were very kind to me. The classmates also loved me. They welcomed me with love and interest. I took my first lesson. That was indeed a new experience for me. I am now far from my classmates but I shall never forget them.
I grew ten years old. I saw an important event. It was my sister's marriage ceremony. Our house was decorated very well. Many guests were invited. They came to our house. I remember that we all bathed in small river.
The summer days gave me great pleasure. This season brings with it many juicy fruits. We plucked these fruits and ate them. We ran beside the corn fields. The whole day we roamed about the village. The village market was another place of great interest for me. I would go there with my father. Sometimes I alone used to pass a happy time there.
How happy I was in my childhood days! The golden childhood days peep into my mind. I feel that I was really happy in my childhood. I wish I could have my happy childhood days again.
